16U BLUE JAYS
The Bowie Blue Jays 16U team is a third-year travel team that will play in a variety of tournaments and doubleheaders against other
regional travel teams during spring/summer 2012.
The team competed in over 120 games during their first two years together. Our objective is to help our athletes develop into great high school softball players and
candidates to play college softball.

Female athletes born in 1995 or later can play in our 16U tournaments and leagues.
- How many games will the Blue Jays 16U team play during the 2012 season?
Our 16U team will play seven tournaments and participate in a team camp from Memorial Day weekend through July 2012. Tentative schedule:
- Memorial Day Weekend: Emily Burke Memorial - MD
- June 2-3: Ace of Diamonds Invitational - MD
- June 16-17: Freedom Invitational - MD
- June 23-24: USSSA State Championship - MD
- June 30-July 1: Top Gun Summer Slam - Myrtle Beach, SC
- July 9-12: Team Camp - Northern NJ
- July 18-22: USSSA World Series - Ocean City, MD
- July 28-29: Pony Summer Finale - Southern PA
- Do the Blue Jays provide college recruiting assistance?
Yes, the Bowie Blue Jays organization will do all that it can to help our players who want to play college softball.
Members of our 16U team will be able to obtain a membership in the Top Prospect Network (TPN) online college recruiting service. TPN allows players to upload a profile and skills videos,
find college softball programs that are a good fit for them and contact college coaches online.
We also help players produce skills videos and find college camps and clinics that our players can attend, often at a discounted price.
- Where are practices and games?
Practice are in Bowie, MD, primarily at Blacksox Park (2201 Mitchellville Road, Bowie, MD 20716). Most of the team's tournaments will be within
one hour drive-time from Bowie. The team will travel to play in at least two out of town tournaments and attend a team showcase camp.
